Cooking in Thailand, the pleasure of the taste buds!
Who hasn't heard anyone say that Thai food is just really really good? Not me, I have always heard it but never experienced it!
Indeed, Thai cuisine is growing in popularity as its flavors are appreciated throughout the world. It has its origins in Indian and Muslim cuisines (especially thanks to Malaysia, very close to southern Thailand).
As is often the case in Asia, the basis of Thai cuisine is rice. It is associated with fish, beef, pork, crab or shrimp, but also cashews, coconut or seafood!
Southern Thailand is renowned for offering the most spicy cuisine in Thailand, with the region's curries being more powerful than in the rest of the country. Vegetable dishes are often served at the table as an accompaniment to counterbalance. If the dish you have just eaten is too spicy, especially: do not drink water or eat rice.
My suggestions
- The famous pad Thai or fried noodles
- Khung Manao, raw shrimps marinated with lime
- Mussamein, a muslim dish made from spices and cashew nuts
My opinion
I don't know about you, but it made me hungry… Just to clarify, the Thais dine early enough, at the alenstours from 18 p.m. to 30 p.m., so don't delay!
