Krabi City is the capital of Krabi Province. Located at the mouth of the river, it is a very lively typical Thai village. It is also in Krabi Town that you will find the international airport, located about 30 minutes from downtown Ao Nang.
You will not find a beach in Krabi Town. In contrast, the riverbank offers the opportunity to relax in the morning or late afternoon. It is also here that you can visit the famous caves of Khao Kanab Nam, the two rocks in the shape of dog ears.
The city center includes a large modern-style temple: the recently completed Wat Kaew Govararam temple. As a temple of work, novice monks are often seen at work here.
For a shopping session, we recommend that you go to town. Especially at the weekend night market, the "walking street", with its craft, clothing and souvenir shops.
Close to the city, you can access the temple of Tiger Cave, a Buddhist temple whose access is separated by some 1237 steps.
